Introductory Karate Class with English-Speaking Master in Nakano

What to expect

Karate (literally "empty hand") is a traditional Japanese martial art developed in Okinawa, which focuses on striking (punches, kicks, knee or elbow strikes and more).

Karate was introduced to the Japanese mainland in the early 20th century and will be one of 5 special sports included in the 2020 Olympics. Don't miss out and learn the basics of this masterfully graceful martial art before then!

First-timers, all genders and physically-fit participants aged 13 and above are welcome.

We had a great karate lesson that mixed several martial arts in a very well organized manner.
Sensei Jun showed us techniques, Kata and we got to try different styles, always supervised by Sensei. The other students that were in the class were very supportive patient when sharing their knowledge, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
After class we all shared time together and to know the rest of the class a bit better.
Overall a great experience that left me wishing I'd stay in Tokyo a…

Overall a great experience that left me wishing I'd stay in Tokyo a bit longer just to continue training with Sensei Jun.
Great moment. Highly recommended!

We had a great time doing this karate class.
The instructor was very good and professional.
The other participants were also very nice and patient with us (beginners).
It was also really fun to meet japan people during this activity and interact a little bit with them.
